William Helmut Sell is a policy analyst for New York State. Over his 25 year state career, Bill has served in public relations and policy analysis capacities as well as serving as a union representative for The Public Employees Federation (PEF). Bill has served as the Chair of the voting issues subcommittee for Democracy for the Hudson Mohawk Region since 2004.
In 2005, Bill authored and introduced a the only resolution in PEF history to be submitted from the rank and file on the convention floor. The resolution calls for the introduction of a statewide Paper Ballot based voting system administered by public servants. The measure was passed unanimously by over 800 delegates in Rochester NY.
Among his other achievements, Bill has qualified for and competed in 8 Boston Marathons as well as winning the Hudson Mohawk Road runners Championship in 1995. As an FAA certified private airplane pilot, Bill volunteers his time and talent flying needy patients for treatment to and from hospitals in Boston and New York City in association with Angel flight Northeast Inc.
Bill holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing/Management from Siena College and an M.S. degree in Public Administration from Russell Sage college in Troy, NY.
He resides in Stephentown NY.
